Sam Thomas

Policy manager for the MEAM coalition

Sam is policy manager for the Making Every Adult Matter coalition, working with a team based across Clinks, Homeless Link and Mind. He is responsible for ensuring that the policy work of the coalition is co-ordinated, effective, and informed by the views and experiences of people with multiple needs and those who support them.

Before joining Homeless Link, Sam worked for DrugScope, the RSA and the University of Leeds. His particular area of expertise is substance misuse, and he has provided expert advice on drug and alcohol issues to a range of organisations and public bodies.

"If I could change one thing about the homelessness sector... would be to make sure that everyone working in it – at every level – can use their experience, skill and imagination to ensure that people who are homeless get the best possible support."
