Target group

Single homeless people aged 18+ with low support needs, including ex-offenders and those with alcohol, drugs and mental health issues who are engaging with appropriate support agencies. No local connection required.

Will not accept

No automatic exclusions. Applications considered on a case by case basis.

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Require reports from Probation and Social Services if appropriate.

Referral procedure

Phone Homeless Advice Team on 024 7668 34025 Tues & Thurs 9.30am-12.30pm, 1.30pm-4.30pm to check vacancies. Application form completed by prospective resident and/or referral agency. Interview.

Staffing and support ^ back to top

Support services

30 staff, visiting support weekdays 9.30am-4pm, emergency on-call system. Keywork system. Support includes basic advice, assistance and befriending, advice in claiming benefits and accessing local services, help with working towards resettlement and independent living.

Access to move-on

Staff give advice on move-on options and help with resettlement. Referrals to longer stay hostels and housing projects, including 100 spaces in Coventry Cyrenians properties. Referral to floating support service.

House rules and tenure

Smoking allowed in adult rooms only, no smoking in young people's accommodation. Licence agreement.

Resident access

Own key, no restrictions.


Until 8pm. No overnight guests. No male visitors in women's hostel.

Currently have 5 volunteers, help with admin support, driving, helping in charity shops. Email volunteering@coventrycyrenians.org for further information.

The accommodation includes a 6 bed hostel for men only. There is also an 8 bed hostel for ex-services personnel.
