Staffing and support ^ back to top

Support services

5 full time staff. Night cover via central hub at BCHA head office. Keyworker system with weekly meetings. Keywork support covers domestic/personal care, cooking, budgeting, benefits, employment, social activities, alcohol/drug dependency, mental and physical health and move-on options. Staff provide life skills training and training to enhance employment opportunities.

Health services

Some staff are trained in drug and alcohol issues.

Access to move-on

Resettlement team helps residents to prepare to move on and secure suitable accommodation. Access to own permanent housing, other Bournemouth HA schemes and private landlords. Offer follow-up support.

House rules and tenure

No alcohol allowed on the premises. Smoking allowed in own rooms only. Must agree to drug and alcohol testing if necessary. Licence agreement.

Resident access

Must be in project 12 midnight-7am, except by prior arrangement. No curfew in independent wing.

Visitors

Until 9.30pm, in communal areas only, not during meal times. No under 18s. No overnight guests.

User participation

Monthly residents' meetings. Residents' representative and deputy representative. Residents' forum for representation on committees throughout BCHA.
