People accepted as statutory homeless, including single homeless people, single parents and couples with or without children. Must have a local connection to Dundee.

How to get in ^ back to top
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency.
Phone or call in Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 9am-5pm, Weds 10am-5pm. Phone diverts to out of hours service for emergencies. Application form and interview to assess status as statutory homeless.
No waiting list.
Staffing and support ^ back to top
6 full time staff, 24 hour waking cover. Staff provide a low level of support focusing on advice on housing options and making referrals to appropriate support agencies.
Health and Homeless Outreach Team hold surgeries at the centre once a week.
Access to move-on
Staff help with referrals to outside agencies, including furniture projects. Move-on accommodation provided by the local authority.

House rules and tenure
No alcohol allowed on the premises. Smoking allowed in own rooms only. No formal written agreement.
Must be in by 12 midnight.
12 noon-4pm weekdays, 12 noon-6pm weekends, in lounge only. No overnight guests.

The Lily Walker Centre also contains the council's Homeless Services Unit which provides advice and information to homeless people and assesses whether they are priority need/statutory homeless under the Housing Act.
