Single homeless people.
Will not accept
Schedule 1 offenders. People with a history of sex offences. People with a history of arson may be accepted if cleared by insurance company.
How to get in ^ back to top
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency via Homeless Single Point of Access.
Call in at Midland Heart's Homeless Services Centre Mon-Weds, Fri 10am-6pm, Thurs 10am-2pm or phone daily 24 hours. Interview and assessment may be face to face, details may be taken by phone or referral form may be forwarded from eg Birmingham City Council Neighbourhood Office.
No waiting list.
Staffing and support ^ back to top
5.5 full time equivalent staff, 24 hour waking cover. Keywork system (5-6 residents per worker), with meetings at least biannually. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed weekly. Staff help with life skills, budgeting, benefits, cooking, hygiene, sexual health, accessing training and employment, careers guidance. Practical support around housing, health and safety, legal issues, cultural matters.
Access to move-on
Staff provide help with finding move-on accommodation and referral to floating support service.

House rules and tenure
Written house rules. Must engage in some kind of college/voluntary/employment activity. Smoking allowed in own room only. Licence agreement.
24 hour access, no restrictions.
Between 9am-11pm. No overnight guests.
Regular residents' meetings.
