Target group

Young single homeless people aged 16-25 with support needs around independent living skills. Priority to those living within the Sandwell area.

Will not accept

Sex offenders or people with a history of violence.

Named agency referrals only. Drop-in at Sandwell Homes Housing Options (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm) or phone (Mon-Fri 8am-5.30pm).

Staffing and support ^ back to top

Support services

2 full time and 1 part time staff, 24 hour sleep-in cover. Keywork system (4 residents per keyworker) with up to 2 meetings a week. Care plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed every 3 months. Staff provide help with independent living skills and accessing employment and training schemes. Connexions worker visits as and when required.

Access to move-on

Staff provide advice on move-on options and help with applications, grants and finding furniture. Residents registered with Sandwell Homes. Provide follow-up support for 6 months.

House rules and tenure

Residents must take part in care plans and attend residents' meetings. No alcohol allowed on premises. Smoking in own rooms only. Licence agreement.
