Target group
Young single homeless people aged 16-25 with support needs. All applicants must be willing to engage in some type of education or training.
Will not accept
People with a history of arson. "People with a history of hard drug use need to be clean for six months".

Referral agencies
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Many referrals come from Connexions (YPSS).
Referral procedure
Write or phone any time. Application form completed by applicant and referral agency. Interview. Require background information including offending history.

Sometimes operate a waiting list.

Support services
5 full time staff, 24 hour waking cover. Keywork system (up to 7 residents per keyworker) with weekly meetings. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed monthly. Staff offer support around independent living skills, employment and training and liaison with statutory and voluntary welfare agencies.
Health services
Drop-ins by SHOUT and Connexions on health matters.
Access to move-on
Staff give advice on move-on options and help with resettlement in keywork. Referral to floating support service.

House rules and tenure
Residents must engage in education or training. No alcohol allowed. Smoking allowed in own rooms only. Licence agreement.
Resident access
Own key, no access restrictions. Curfew on college nights. Key handed in on leaving building.
Visitors
Between 9am-11pm. No overnight guests.

Regular residents' meetings.
