Target group
Young single homeless people aged 16-25 with support needs. 12 beds for single parents and young pregnant women. All applicants must be willing to engage with the support service and be willing to work towards independent living.
Will not accept
Arsonists, Schedule 1 offenders and people with a history of violence. People with high support needs that cannot be met by the project.

Referral agencies
Accept self referrals and referrals from any agency. Many referrals come from Sheffield Housing Department and Connexions.
Referral procedure
Write, phone or call in Mon-Thurs 9am-9pm, Fri 9am-8pm to arrange interview. Application form. Require proof of ID and references. Aim to advise of outcome within one week.

Staffing and support ^ back to top
Support services
11 full time staff available Mon-Thurs 9am-9pm, Fri 9am-8pm. Security staff provide waking night cover. Action plans with agreed outcomes, reviewed every 2 months. Staff offer support around independent living skills, benefits and budgeting, employment, education and training, health issues and parenting skills.
Health services
Nurse runs weekly drop-in. Weekly on site support provided by specialist substance misuse worker.
Access to move-on
Staff provide support around move-on, including help with housing applications to Sheffield Council and RSLs. Nominations to Guinness Northern Counties Housing Association. Follow-up support. Resettled residents can also return to Foyer for advice.

House rules and tenure
No alcohol in communal areas. Smoking allowed in own rooms and garden. Must engage with support around independent living. Licence agreement.
Resident access
24 hour access, no restrictions.
Visitors
Between 12 noon-8.30pm Mon-Fri, 9am-8.30pm Sat-Sun. No overnight guests.
User participation
Regular residents' meetings. Residents sit in on staff meetings and foyer's board meeting. Residents' representatives group.
