Target group
Single homeless people and families who are homeless and vulnerable. Can accept couples. Applicants must be living in Northern Ireland.
Will not accept
People who present a risk which cannot be managed by the service.

How to get in ^ back to top
Referral agencies
Only accept referrals from Social Services and Northern Ireland Housing Executive. Do not accept self referrals or referrals from other agencies.
Referral procedure
Phone daily 24 hours. Application form and risk assessment completed by referring agency. Brief telephone interview. Require proof of ID, eg passport or driving licence, and brief background history.

Operate a waiting list.

Staffing and support ^ back to top
Support services
Staff provide visiting support as necessary, emergency on-call system. Support plans reviewed at least monthly. Staff provide advice and help with housing, benefits, social services, employment, training, independent living skills, debt, budgeting, home safety and security, befriending, advocacy and liaison with other agencies.
Health services
Staff team includes registered mental health and registered general nurses.
Access to move-on
Advice about landlords and tenancy agreements. Help with Housing Benefit and Community Care Grant forms, and with finding and transporting furniture. Informal follow-up support by phone.
