Target group

Chaotic individuals who may present with complex needs and problems eg alcohol abuse and mental health problems. Local connection to Hull required. Can accept up to 2 people with dogs. Can accommodate one couple.

Will not accept

Arsonists. Anyone who does not meet the residency criteria as defined by the local authority.

Referral agencies

Accept self referrals, referrals from any agency, including the local authority and Hull Harp - Dock House night shelter.

Referral procedure

Phone to see if there are vacancies. If so, will arrange to see prospective resident same day and conduct preliminary interview. Needs and risk assessments will be carried out by keyworkers next day.

Support services

2 staff - Housing Support Officer and Resettlement Worker - available daily 7am-9pm, service staffed 24/7. Keywork system with regular support sessions. staff address identified needs such as debt management, benefits, living skills. Some external services hold one to one appointments on site. Referrals to external services as required.

Health services

Specialist support from alcohol, drug and mental health professionals held on site.

Access to move-on

Staff offer support with move-on as appropriate - eg supported tenancy, tenancy with floating support.

30 Clusters of single ensuite rooms, with one double room for a couple.

House rules and tenure

Residents must attend keywork sessions. Smoking and use/storage of alcohol within building prohibited. Outdoor smoking area. Licence agreement.

Resident access

Curfew of 8.30pm for residents of Floor 1, 2am for residents of Floor 3.

Visitors

Until 11pm, are responsibility of client. No overnight guess.

User participation

Weekly residents' meetings. Seek resident's views on running the project during keywork. Feedback forms after move-on.
