Supported Housing Alliance

Homeless Link has launched the Supported Housing Alliance programme at its Supported Housing: shaping the future conference in London.

Supported Housing Alliance

With the increasing prominence of supported housing in the external policy landscape, and its relevance across our membership, it is critical that our policy and influencing work in this area is fully integrated within Homeless Link. This is why we are excited to have launched the Supported Housing Alliance, a dedicated policy programme that will consolidate our existing influencing work across Sitra and Homeless Link and allow us to build on these achievements going forward.

By bringing this work together, we can ensure the voice and expertise of our members remains instrumental in shaping policy and practice. We will be developing our plans and priorities for Supported Housing Alliance in the coming weeks and we will be sharing details of how you can get involved to help us shape the programme. Please keep an eye on our website, newsletter and new Twitter account @SH_Alliance for all the latest updates.

Rick Henderson, Chief Executive of Homeless Link, comments:

"I am pleased to announce the creation of this new initiative which is designed to promote the interests, and meet the needs, of supported housing residents and providers in England. The Supported Housing Alliance will encompass a whole range of benefits that in time will grow to meet the needs of our members across the spectrum of housing, care, health and support.

"We are excited by the opportunity this new initiative offers to truly embed its work across Homeless Link and ensure we can build on Sitra’s achievements at this important juncture for supported housing.

"I remain committed to working with our members and stakeholders to end homelessness and to ensure that everyone has a place to call home and the support they need to keep it. The Supported Housing Alliance will enable us to have an even greater focus on promoting the vital role that supported housing plays in achieving this goal."

From April 2017, we will no longer be using the Sitra brand or updating the website. This marks the final stage of integrating the work of Sitra into Homeless Link following our merger last year.

We are committed to continuing Sitra’s legacy of sector leadership, policy influencing and promoting best practice through training and consultancy. The Sitra training programme and consultancy work will be brought under the Homeless Link banner and you will still be able to book from our full range of training.
